Margaret M. Long Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margaret M. (Fleming) Long, 94, of Alliance, died on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. She was born on October 9, 1920 in Newton Falls, and lived in Alliance most of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. She was previously employed at DeHoff’s for several years and enjoyed home gardening and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughter, Lorna (Bruce) Foith of Rockwall, Texas; her son, Fred (Cathy) Long of North Benton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Gerald Fleming of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Mayness M. Long on March 24, 1999, whom she married on May 10, 1940; a son, Ronald M. Long; her parents, Charles and Effie (Bright) Fleming; and a brother, Ernest Fleming. The family will receive friends at Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Harnish officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, or to the donor’s choice.
